Embroidery - Artwork Guidelines & Set Up Costs

With embroidery, setting up logos needs more thought than with print - with over 30 years experience we can help and advise you with embroidery and suggest how to get the best results from your logo.

SUPPLYING YOUR LOGO

The easy part - we can work with anything from a digital file emailed in any format (png, pdf, eps, cdr, doc) etc, business card or letterhead or even a photo or sketch.

CONSIDERATIONS WITH EMBROIDERY

Unlike print there are more restrictions with Embroidery:

  • Not all logos will be suitable - small text, gradients, thin outlines, fine detail are best avoided.
  • Not all designers consider how your design will look embroidered - make this a priority when designing a new logo or creating your brand guidelines.
  • Some fabrics do not suit certain styles of embroidery - we make every effort to ensure logos work well on different fabrics, but some logos simply don't work on some fabrics.

set-up costs

All new embroidery logos are required in .dst format, these files are created specialist software and to specific specifications and requirements of the design itself. Each Set Up is a Once Only Charge.

SETUP PROCESS

  1. Following payment a stitched proof will be supplied to you within 3-5 working days, you will need to sign and return the proof card.
  2. Digital proofs are available and can be emailed (used for express orders or if you do not wish to approve a stitched proof)
  3. Minor amendments* are free of charge
  4. Once approved your logo is locked down and saved on file for future use.

*SET UP IS FREE OF ANY LOGO USED ON AN INITIAL ORDER OF 24 MIXED ITEMS.

OUR QUALITY AND CARE GUARANTEE

  • We do not keep stitch counts low to speed up our running times - all logos are digitised to give the best result for our customers
  • We create a version of your logo for every type of fabric we embroider to - for example fleece is different to cotton - this comes at no cost to our customers
  • We create a stitched proof for every colour your logo requires and give each a unique ID number for future reference
  • No work is ever started until we have a signed proof card and we ensure every job following your sign off is the same quality as what you have approved

*Minor amendments include small edit to design, colour change and adjust layout. Charges will apply if the logo is changed from the design submitted to us.

*If ACE provide your logo free of charge, copies are charged £25 per design.
